Now that we have went through the certification exam as Taylor Swift, who were able to do all the questions within the time limit, we are going to go through the same exam as Katy Perry. In this particular case, we are going to pretend that Miss Perry decided to start the exam and to extreme, decided to walk away. So essentially, we are going to simulate someone who either because they started the exam by accident or has significant technical issues, either because computer crashed, internet go out, or building on fire, has to leave the exam completely. So what we will do is we are going to log out as Katy Perry, pause the video for extended period of time, and resume the video when the entire exam has timed out. So after significant pause in my recording, I have logged back in as Katy Perry. So I am going to revisit the exam that Katy Perry has left quite a while ago. So keep in mind what we are simulating is someone who started the exam and due to unforeseen circumstances, completely timed out. So you can see that everything is timed out. So pretend at this point, Katy Perry calls support and said, whatever happened that is justifiable, I would like to be able to do this again. So obviously the easiest way for this particular case is you do a full reset on the user's exam and let the user take it all over again because literally she didn't do anything. Now if we go to the administrator, click on Katy Perry and go to user courses, obviously we can click on reset so that Katy Perry can start the entire thing all over again. But suppose Katy Perry did answer a few questions so that you don't want to do a full reset. What you can do is, because doing a full reset will cause the user to lose the responses they have submitted, what you can do is you can click on this link under the user learning activities detail page where it shows all the questions they have timed out as you can see here. There is a new tab available for administrator if the exam questions are broken into sections. So you can see here all the sections have been timed out. So what we are going to do is you can add time so the user can do this again. You can add time individually to different sections if the user's section, if they have timed out on everything. Or you can just say hey I'm just going to give the user five minutes for all the sections and then they will be able to resume. So here I'm going to come back here, I'm going to refresh the screen as Katy Perry and notice that everything has reopened for her. So keep in mind, I'm just going to quickly start this. So notice that they can redo all the sections and keep in mind you can add time to individual sections or you can add time to all the sections if it's the same amount of time. So and most likely you're going to end up adding only time to the sections that the user has timed out, assuming they didn't time out across all the sections. Keep in mind that if the user has already finished a particular section, then it would not make sense for you to add time to that section, especially when the exam mechanic says that we do not allow user to review a section that they have finished. So just keep in mind as administrator you need to apply a little bit discretion on which section you're going to add time and the logical thing to do is only add time to section the user has timed out.
